Requirements

  • Canadian citizens using a Canadian passport do not need a visa to visit Korea for the purpose of tourism, business, or visitation, provided that no work is undertaken, and the stay is less than 90 days in length.
  • Canadians require a special visa to teach English in South Korea.
  • Nationals of the following countries do not need a business or tourist visa:
  • European Union (EU), *EXCEPT Latvia;
  • Albania, Andorra, Argentina, Antigua & Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Barbados, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, CANADA, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Egypt, El Salvador, Micronesia, Fiji, Grenada, Guam, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Hong Kong, Iceland, Israel, Jamaica, Japan, Kiribati, Kuwait, Lesotho, Liberia, Liechtenstein, Macau, Malaysia, Marshall Islands, Mexico, Monaco, Morocco, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Oman, Palau, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Qatar, Romania, St Kitts & Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent & the Grenadines, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Surinam, Swaziland, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Trinidad & Tobago, Tunisia, Turkey UAE, UK, Uruguay, USA, Vatican, Venezuela, Yemen.
  • Persons from the following countries or places require a visa for all purposes:
  • citizens of China, India, Iran, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Nigeria, Ghana, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Albania, Croatia, Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzegovina; persons who have no nationality; citizens of countries which do not have diplomatic relations with Korea (such as Cuba).

  • Valid for (days): 90

Requirements

  • - Applicant’s passport valid for at least 6 months after the intended exit date.
  • - 2 copies of the visa application form, thoroughly filled out and dated, bearing applicant’s signature.
  • - 1 original coloured passport size, front view, white background and recently-taken photograph.
  • - For non-Canadians only: original and a photocopy of permanent Resident Card (work-permit or study-permit document).
  • - Letter on company letterhead indicating:
  • *Information about the applicant (e.g. period of employment and position)
  • *Nature of business activities in Korea (in detail)
  • *Intended period of stay
  • *Contact person in Korea and their complete address and phone number
  • - Letter of invitation from a Korean company.
  • - Other documents to support the application if available, such as a Trade record with the Korean host company, export and import licenses, contract, letter describing the purpose of the business trip, import/export documents,etc., documents related to the establishment of the Korean host company like a copy of the business registration, tax statements, etc.
  • - Copy of round trip tickets or itinerary.
  • - Note: Multiple-entry visas can be issued to nationals of Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, India, Japan, Russia, Ukraine, The United States and Uzbekistan.

Requirements

  • - Applicant’s passport valid for at least 6 months after the intended exit date.
  • - 2 copies of the visa application form, thoroughly filled out and dated, bearing applicant’s signature.
  • - 1 original coloured passport size, front view, white background and recently-taken photograph.
  • - For non-Canadians only: original and a photocopy of permanent Resident Card (work-permit or study-permit document).
  • - For short-term travellers:
  • * Documents proving the purpose of the tour or visit, including a detailed plan for the visit, with the application date and applicant's signature at the bottom.
  • * Invitation letter or letter of personal reference
  • * Documents proving financial ability to cover expenses in Korea (i.e. a bank statement)
  • - For short-term visitors for general training and university studies:
  • * Letter of admission
  • * Certificate from the most recent school attended
  • * Documents proving financial ability to cover expenses in Korea (i.e. a bank statement)
  • Copy of round trip tickets or itinerary.
