• Canadian citizens using Canadian passports do not require a visa to enter the Slovak Republic for tourism or business stays under 90 days.
  • Nationals of the following countries do not need a visa for stays of up to three months:
  • Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Bolivia (2 months), Bulgaria (2 months), Brunei, CANADA, Chile, El Salvador, European Union (EU), Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong (SAR), Israel, Japan, Korea (Rep), Malaysia, Malta (6 months), Mexico, Monaco (3 months), New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Romania (2 months), San Marino (2 months), Singapore, Switzerland, United Nations passport holders (30 days) Uruguay, USA, Vatican (2 months), Venezuela.
  • Persons holding Refugee Travel Documents (1951 Convention) are visa exempt provided given refugee status according to the Convention and status of EU states (except refugee status from Austria, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia), and from Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland.
  • Nationals of the following countries do not need visas to visit or transit through the Slovak Republic for a maximum period in days indicated in the brackets:

  • The above mentioned foreigners who do not need visas for the certain period of time, and wish to stay in Slovakia longer than the period indicated in the brackets have to exit Slovakia within the period and return again only if they did not exceed 90 days during a six month period, or apply for a temporary stay permit at the Embassy or Consulate General, if they are intending to work, study, teach, doing business or coming for permanent family reunion.
  • Nationals of the following countries need to apply for a visa in their country of citizenship or residency:
